The Purpose Of The Ten Commendments
The ten commandments are there for a reason and the reason is that God wanted to prove to you that you are UNABLE to obey the
commandments on their entirety for all your life, we all fail, so God waits until you
And Christ will teach you that it’s not about laws but about love, all the laws in the ten commandments fulfill themselves automatically if you love thy neighbor and you love God.
I have talked to a lot of Christians and incredibly they do not know what Jesus was talking about when he talked about love.
This type of love comes from God, we as humans can not produce this kind of love, the only love that comes close is the love a mother has for her children, unconditional love.
Remember the teaching of Jesus of the vine in John 15:1-12
If you are linked to God he can transmit this love power to you and then you to whoever you decide to give it
How do you know when it’s love from God through you and not just love from you?
Because when people receive this type of love they usually know it’s not a normal love, they feel it’s a divine love that comes from God to Jesus to you and you too whoever you are giving it to.
Human love (excluding mother and child love) is almost always conditional, if people love you then you love them back, but if you give respect and you are paid with disrespect then you stop respecting and loving, that is not what Jesus was talking about, the love Jesus was talking about is a love in which it emanates from within you, it’s given to everybody no matter what, if somebody treats you badly you still treat them with respect, if somebody does not like you, you still respect them, of course, common sense is necessary in some cases, for example, if you are being bullied you still respect them and do not return the bullying with insults but with love, BUT you should not keep exposing yourself to those people, if you can you should get away from them.
Also in cases when you or anybody in your family or friends are being attacked physically you should try to defend them or help them that is just common sense.
