Love Hurts
Mathew 22-37-39
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Jesus taught about love , The law is a guide and the Holy Spirit is Love.You can not love without being hurt, the love that Jesus was talking about was a divine love that only emanates from God to the Christian to the recipient , remember (John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.) and in the process of loving you may be subject to aggression, you will be hurt, it’s impossible to love and not be hurt , if you are not being hurt you are not loving , but there is also a positive side , when you receive love back from someone.
Remember Mathew 16:24 ( Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.) This means that you should forget about yourself, your feelings,your desires,your life) a follower a christ will obey whatever order is given by Jesus,if he wants you where you are that is where you should be. Not everybody is meant to be a missionary , but it’s impossible not to talk about Jesus wherever you are, and live a life according to Jesus teachings. Either you love or you judge, you can not do both, love eliminates judgment.
